NASM and USATF Certified Master Personal Trainer

My objective is to improve the lives of others by sharing my knowledge of exercise and nutrition and by constructing individualized programs that meet the needs of my clients. My mission as a Personal Trainer is to unlock the key for each of my clients to achieve whatever it is they want to achieve. Rather than focusing on one dimension of fitness, my approach is multi-dimensional; incorporating exercise, nutrition advice, bio-mechanical analysis and correction, and behavior change. It is important to address all areas of health and fitness, and to use a clients strengths while improving the areas of health and fitness that can make a big impact. I love working with clients from different backgrounds, but I especially enjoy working with people who have overcome injuries and health obstacles, who need a fitness and health program designed to avoid injury and improve overall health and well-being.
Background
Since childhood I have been intrigued by many different forms of physical activity. In organized youth leagues I competed in Baseball and Soccer; I ran on high School and college Track and Cross Country teams. In addition, I have participated in Football, Basketball, Karate and Tae Kwon Do. To this day I compete as a runner and remain interested in physical fitness.
My life, which is based around physical fitness and health, has lead me into a career as a Personal Trainer. My experience as a competitive athlete has helped me gain an understanding of what it takes to set goals and work to achieve them. This knowledge is useful in training people of all fitness levels, not just competitive athletes. My passion for fitness and for helping others, is what drives me to be the kind of Personal Trainer that can help a diverse range of clients reach their health and fitness goals.
As someone who has experienced many health challenges, including chronic illness and pain, I have an understanding of what many people with different health challenges have had to deal with. Because of this experience, I enjoy helping seniors and people who have had to come back from injury, chronic pain and illness.
